EWPC offers a great ministry on Wednesday evenings. It's a bit of a hybrid between contemporary worship time and serious Bible Study.

For the worship time, we begin by singing praise songs. We take a few minutes to bear witness to the things that God's been doing in/around our own lives. We open our Bibles and charge right into our study. It takes a somewhat scholarly approach, but also includes a time to talk about applying the lessons for our personal lives.We close our meetings by praying for those needs that we are feeling, whether for those in our congregation, those others that we love, or just for one another. You may have been prayed for without even knowing it.

Adult Study with Pastor Thomas Boles

You are invited to join Pastor Tom Boles on Sunday mornings in Purdy Hall at 9:45 am for Bible Study. Each week there is a new lesson and Scripture reading. All are welcome.

Movie Night-Friday, March 26

Our Friday night movie is on March 26. Please join us at 7:15 PM in Purdy Hall for the movie "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs." We will serve light refreshments and it's FREE! Children are welcome but need to bring an adult. Hope to see you for a fun evening. Kids may wear their p.j's and bring a pillow and blanket. Please join us at the movies.

Easter Services

Please be with us on Thursday, April 1 at 7pm for Maundy Thursday Worship and Communion Service. On Sunday, April 4 at 6:30 am, we celebrate Easter Sonrise on our front patio. Join us for breakfast between 7:30 and 10 AM. Traditional Worship Service begins at 10:30 AM in our Sanctuary.

PAK & MOPS dinner/bowling March 12th.

FAMILY EVENT Join us for bowling with our Parent and Kids group (PAK) at Friendly Hills Bowling Alley 15545 E. Whittier Blvd. Whittier, 90603 from 6:00 PM-7:30 PM. THEN...MOPS Mom's Night Out. Friday, March 12th 7:30 PM-? Bring your favorite board game and an appetizer or dessert to share. Beverages will be provided. Call the church office for location of MOPS Night Out. 562-698-9948.

Newspaper Recycling

We are appreciative to all those members and friends who bring their newspapers to our shed in the parking lot. This is an easy way to earn money for our church. We do have a few gentle reminders: We recycle newspapers only. Not slick magazines (hard to pulp for recycling) paper towel and toilet paper rolls or cereal boxes and other cardboard items and certainly not used tissues.(Please click here for more information)
The recycling company does accept cardboard but it has to be kept separate from the newspaper. That would require a dedicated, new storage facility. No loose newspapers please. Newspapers need to be bagged or tied for ease of handling. Paper bags are preferred over plastic when bagging. The recycling company does not recycle plastic at all. Thank you for following these guidelines.

Boy Scout troop 841 Spaghetti dinner

Boy Scout Troop 841 is hosting its Annual Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday, March 20, 2010. There will be three seatings - 5:00 PM, 6:30 PM and 8:00PM. Tickets are on sale now for $10 - adults, $5- Kids (ages 6-11)
