 | Presbyterian Women in the Congregation |
Thank you to all who save Campbell’s Soup labels and General Mills Box Tops for us. We have a whole bagful now and will send them off to Menaul school in Albuquerque, NM. Menaul school is a mission school funded by the Presbyterian church in 1896. The school uses these labels and coupons to purchase needed supplies for the school—even a van!
A box, empty right now, to collect these labels and coupons is in the church office and labeled for easy recognition.
Also, we will be collecting gift cards in the amount of $20.00 to take to the church-wide Presbyterian Women’s Gathering in Orlando, Florida in July, 2012. They are requesting cards from Walgreen's, Lowe’s, Wall Mart, K Mart, Target, CVS Pharmacy, Costco or Publix. We’ll either hand-carry or mail these cards to Church wide. They will then give the cards to Beth-al Farm Worker’s Ministry, Inc. which helps migrant workers in these Florida communities. Migrant workers who are assisted by Beth-
Al are the poorest of the working poor.
The gift cards can be turned in to our church office to Jean or put in the Presbyterian Women’s mailbox.
We hope to have a nice big pile of these cards by June. Please help us.
