BOOK LOVER'S CLUB MEETS JULY 13

The group decided on the following books for summer reading: July 13- "Gilead" by Marilynne Robinson, September 14- "A Passion for Nature" a biography of John Muir.(Please click here for more information)
These titles offer a variety of good reading for almost anyone. If you are interested, you are always welcome to join us on the second Monday of each month at 3 PM in the church library to hear the discussion and "put in your two cents" perhaps! No meeting in August.

You Are Welcome at MOPS! "Mothers of pre-schoolers" from birth through age six. We meet the first and third Tuesdays of each month at EWPC from 9:30-11:30AM. We invite you to join us for breakfast, laughter and most of all, mentors to encourage us through our journey of motherhoowd. Child care is provided. Questions? MOP Planned Summer Outings: July 7th - Meet at Michigan Park from 9:30-11:30AM. July 13-17 -Vacation Bible School at EWPC from 9-12Noon. July 21-Meet at La Habra Children's Museum at 10AM. Cost $7 per person. Children under two are free. Pack you lunches for a picnic on the grass when we are done.

Adult Study with Pastor Thomas Boles

You are invited to join Pastor Tom Boles on Sunday mornings in Purdy Hall at 9:45 am for Bible Study. Each week there is a new lesson and Scripture reading. All are welcome.

Vacation Bible School Begins July 13

Save July 13-17 for VBS this summer. We will be having a wonderful week of singing led by Tara Guthrie. We'll learn about Jesus through stories, games and creative activities. Please tell your friends and neighbors about this terrific time at EWPC and if you would like further information and/or wish to volunteer to help call the church office at 562-698-9948

Bridge Christian Fellowship, Wednesdays 7:00 PM

EWPC offers a great ministry on Wednesday evenings. It's a bit of a hybrid between contemporary worship time and serious Bible Study.

For the worship time, we begin by singing praise songs. We take a few minutes to bear witness to the things that God's been doing in/around our own lives. We open our Bibles and charge right into our study. It takes a somewhat scholarly approach, but also includes a time to talk about applying the lessons for our personal lives.We close our meetings by praying for those needs that we are feeling, whether for those in our congregation, those others that we love, or just for one another. You may have been prayed for without even knowing it.

PAK-Parents and Kids

The Christian Eduction committee is in action hearing the call of the Lord. A new ministry has begun called PAK. "Parents and Kids" have started a group for young families. PAK meets the second Friday of the month at 6:00PM in Purdy Hall. We have a family dinner and experience the opportunity to to meet with one another and enjoy an evening full of fun and fellowship. Toddler care is available.
