Baptism

In the Presbyterian church, baptism (whether of the newly born or newly converted) is the sacramental enactment of God’s grace offered to us in Jesus Christ.

God assures us of our union with Christ in covenant love, in the washing away of our sin, and in the gift of the Holy Spirit. Baptism is our intention to act as God’s people. Baptism calls us to live the mutual caring and sharing that characterized the early Christians.
